Ecopia AI at Esri User Conference 2023

We can't wait to see you at Esri UC 2023! Check out the many ways you can catch up with the team from Ecopia AI to discuss all things geospatial data.

This July, we’re headed back to the Esri User Conference in San Diego! We can’t wait to see our customers and partners from around the globe at the world’s largest GIS conference. If you’ll be in San Diego from July 10-14 this year, make sure to catch up with us. We love hearing about the many applications of high-precision geospatial data and would love to learn more about your work.

Meet Ecopia AI at Booth 1119

Monday July 10 - Friday July 14 | 9 am - 6 pm | Expo Hall

All week, members of the Ecopia team will be at Booth 1119, so make sure to stop by and say hello. If you would like to book a meeting with us, choose a time that’s convenient for you here. We look forward to catching up and hearing about what you’ve been up to since last year’s UC.

Last year we announced the launch of our 3D Nationwide Land Cover dataset, created through our partnership with Hexagon. With over 1.5M square miles of this data now in use by federal agencies, state and municipal governments, and private sector organizations across the US, we will soon be expanding to more geographies. Head to our booth to learn more about how 3D Nationwide Land Cover is powering geospatial workflows related to climate resilience, transportation planning and more.

Attend our Transportation Data Lightning Talk

Tuesday July 11 | 10:47-10:52 am | Partner Presentation Theater, Expo Hall C

On day two of the conference, be sure to stop by Expo Hall C to hear from Ecopia’s VP of Sales, Bill Singleton. Bill has been with Ecopia for eight years, empowering public sector organizations with comprehensive, accurate, and up-to-date geospatial data for mapping and decision-making. With a particular focus on transportation and civil engineering, Bill works closely with departments of transportation (DOTs) and metropolitan planning organizations (MPOs) to map the features needed to enhance the sustainability and safety of transportation networks.

In this lightning talk, Bill will cover how Ecopia is working with the Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) and the Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning (CMAP) to deliver a comprehensive HD map of 26 land cover and transportation features to MPOs throughout the State of Illinois, covering the third largest metropolitan area in the United States and an area of over 12,000 square miles. Bill will explain how this initiative ensures that the MPOs have accurate, up-to-date information at scale for decision-making related to transportation, housing, economic development, open space, the environment, and other quality of life issues, as well as how AI-powered geospatial data is reducing the investment of time into data sourcing, cleaning, and analysis.

Join us for our Presentation on Climate Resiliency

Wednesday July 12 | 2:45-3:15 pm | Partner Presentation Theater, Expo Hall C

On day three of UC, we’re hosting a 30 minute session on climate resiliency and how geospatial data is enabling organizations to develop a more sustainable future. Join Brandon Palin, Senior Director of Public Sector & International Development at Ecopia, to learn how geospatial data provides important information on the location, extent, and vulnerability of natural and human systems and helps identify areas and populations that are most at risk from climate change impacts. Brandon specializes in climate-related applications of geospatial data in the public sector, and for the past five years has been collaborating with government agencies at the federal, state, and municipal level.

In his presentation, “Geospatial Data: The Foundation of Truth in Building a Climate Resiliency Strategy,” Brandon will focus on the value of geospatial data and the need for higher-resolution products on a national scale. He will highlight how governments are using land cover data to optimize land use decisions, including hazard mitigation planning, promoting equitable communities by identifying areas vulnerable to climate change impacts, and ultimately building solutions supporting climate resiliency strategies.
