At the beginning of October, members of our business team had the opportunity to connect and share Ecopia with state and federal officials, as well as industry leaders at the National States Geographic Information Council (NSGIC) 2018 Annual Conference in Duluth, Minnesota. Situated next to Lake Superior, Duluth is a Midwestern tourist destination and served as a great backdrop for this conference, where we met with numerous state representatives, who shared their unique goals and challenges, as well as where to find the best craft beer in town!
During the conference, there were numerous educational sessions and keynote presentations lead by industry experts, including Ecopia! We discussed the value of leveraging artificial intelligence (AI) to extract features from imagery to create planimetric maps at scale, in less time than traditional methods. With a multitude of land classifications including roads, parking lots, grass, buildings and more, Ecopia can help customers with their uniques goals like understanding wetland areas for conservation efforts, ensuring best geocoding for delivery routes, or helping to understand smart city initiatives. Want to learn more about how we can help you leverage Land Classification? Get in touch, and one of our team can show you more about how we’re changing the mapping game with AI.
We left Duluth and NSGIC with a better understanding of the challenges our customers face, and the possibilities that lie ahead by leveraging Land Classifications with Ecopia. The team looks forward to continuing our sponsorship of NSGIC and we look forward to Louisville, KY in 2019!
